NBA Finals Tips & Previews, Thu 9th June

Could you bring it back to TD Garden?

Game three of the 2021/22 NBA Finals series bears fruit when Boston welcomes Golden State to its fortress in front of a sea of green and white.

The Celtics came up big in game one to take the home-court advantage with the series delicately poised at 1-1 thanks to a rebound victory from Golden State in game two.

Boston is highly fancied to get the job done in game three after genuinely putting the cue in the rack during game two.

On Monday, Stephen Curry turned the screws to guide the Warriors to a 107-88 win.

A 35-14 third period firestorm lit the fuse for the Warriors to significantly level up the series and carry some much-needed momentum before the trip to Boston.

Boston did show a slight vulnerability when it dropped games at home in the Eastern Conference Final series against Miami. Still, the Celtics can cast those woes away with Robert Williams back in the fold and hitting good form.

Since returning from a knee injury, Williams has been such an essential defensive inclusion, and he has been marked as questionable for game three.

For all the brilliance of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Williams and his defensive partner-in-crime Marcus Smart are an underpinning foundation for Boston.

If Williams is out, Golden State will be in the box seat to wrestle back the series lead.

Boston needs to take far more care with the ball than in game two.

It has 18 turnovers during the loss on Monday and has a shocking 1-5 record when it concedes 16 or more turnovers this playoffs series.

Keep an eye on team selection.

If Williams plays, Boston is the value.

Suggested Bets:
Boston -3.5 at $1.93 (If Williams is named)
Golden State head to head at $2.26
