Glory and Victory go head to head as do Sydney and Melbourne City.

central coast mariners vs. wellington phoenix

april 5th 7:05pm

After suffering its worst defeat this season, Wellington Phoenix will try to restore some pride when it faces Central Coast Mariners on Tuesday evening.

Phoenix was left embarrassed and down-trodden following a 6-0 belting at the hands of Melbourne City and now must face a Mariners squad which has looked stronger in its last three fixtures.

Central Coast could very well have pinched the three points against Western United but had to settle for a 2-2 draw as it moved to eighth on the table.

Jason Cummings hit a brace as he proves a worthy signing and he will be ever dangerous in this clash.

Phoenix, however, has already had to deal with coming off a big loss this season after it was defeated Perth 2-1 following a 4-0 drubbing from Newcastle.

Expect Wellington to tighten up defensively.

Low-scoring draw in this one.

Prediction: Central Coast 1 Wellington 1

Suggested Bet: Draw at $3.50

melbourne city vs. sydney fc

april 6th 7:05pm

A thumping 6-0 win is the form Melbourne brings into this clash against Sydney FC when the two go head to head at AAMI Park on Wednesday night.

Patrick Kisnorbo has his troops humming along at the moment and a championship defence is on the cards.

Sydney is going to have deal with the momentum of a City undefeated streak which has lasted 10 games (W7 & D3).

The Sky Blues will be buoyant after an entertaining 3-2 derby win over Western Sydney.

City, however, just has so much strength in every area of the pitch.

The strike force led by Jamie Maclaren and Mathew Leckie is beginning to gel together brilliantly.

City has looked strong as a back four with Carl Jenkinson adding a great balance between his offensive threat and defensive coverage.

Simply cannot tip against City at the moment.

City’s system holds up and it has talent better than any squad in the league.

Prediction: Melbourne City 2 Sydney FC 1

Suggested Bet: Melbourne City head to head at $1.95

perth glory vs. melbourne victory

april 6th 9:05pm

Melbourne Victory heads out on the road to Perth when it travels for the second time in as many games.

Victory will face Perth Glory after coming away with a 1-0 win in the Original Rivalry against Adelaide at Coopers Stadium.

With Melbourne now in a strong place to lock itself into a home final, the story could not be anymore opposite for Perth.

It has been a disastrous season so far for Richard Garcia’s men as they sit last in the league and with the white flag basically all but raised.

That being said, Perth does have a big 3-0 win over Melbourne from earlier this season, but Tony Popovic and his crew had an early red card to deal with.

Form to form, Victory excels and it will be winning this game.

Prediction: Perth Glory 1 Melbourne Victory 3

Suggested Bet: Melbourne Victory head to head at $1.95
